ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received, opened, and publicly read by the Owner for the Rehabilitation of the Tallaweka Tank. The Owner will receive Bids until 2:00 p.m. (CST) on the 13th day of May 2020. The bid opening will be held at the FRONT STEPS of City Hall of the City of Tallassee located at 3 Freeman Avenue, Tallassee, Alabama 36078. COVID 19 Rules for public bid openings apply.
The Project is generally described as follows:
- Sandblasting and repainting of the interior dry/wet surfaces of a 500,000 gallon, elevated, single-pedestal, spheroid tank
- Exterior pressure washing and overcoating
The Owner requires the Project to be completed within ninety (90) calendar days from date of notice to proceed.
Specifications may be obtained from the office of CDG Engineers and Associates, Inc., 778 North Dean Road, Auburn, Alabama 36830, louie.arvelo@cdge.com, (334) 466-9431. The cost for specifications is $50.00.
Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make bonds in the State of Alabama, or cashier’s check drawn on an Alabama bank in the amount of a sum no less than five (5) percent of the Owner’s estimated cost or of the Contractor’s bid price but not more than $50,000.00.
