Invitation for Bid


Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, will be received by the City of Tallassee until 4:00 p.m. November 14, 2023, for the following:


HMGP Project 2023-A is a minimum 50kW single/three phase trailer mounted, diesel generator. All Project A bidders must have a repair/service center within the State of Alabama.


HMGP Project 2023-B is generator wiring at physical sites chosen by the City of Tallassee and included in attached bid specifications. All Project B bidders must provide a current Alabama State Electrical Contractors License and sufficient insurance and bonding.


Bidder should utilize the Official Bid Form and include any and all information necessary to satisfy bid specifications. Bidder can choose to respond to either HMGP Project 2023-A or HMGP Project 2023-B or both. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.  All documents and bid forms included with this package shall be submitted in the original bid.  No additions or modifications will be allowed after bids are opened.


Bids must be submitted to the City of Tallassee, Alabama. Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, marked as: “Bid for trailer mounted generator and generator wiring”, addressed as follows and delivered to the City Clerk, City of Tallassee, Alabama 3 Freeman Avenue, Tallassee, Alabama 36078. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the following: The name and address of the party placing the bid.


The right is reserved by the City of Tallassee to accept that bid, which in the judgment of the City is most advantageous to the City, or to waive any irregularities in any bid, to reject any and all bids, or to re-bid, if desired.
