The City of Tallassee will be accepting sealed bids for the repairs at the Tallassee Recreation Department. Sealed bids will be accepted at City Hall until Tuesday, March 10, 2020 @ 3:00pm. Bids will be opened at 5:00pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 during the Work Session.
Scope of work for the Recreation Department is as follows:
- Remove existing metal roofing on Gable roof and shed roofs.
- Remove existing gutters.
- Remove all existing roof flashing where applicable to include rake, transition, side wall and fascia metal.
- Remove all rotten lumber on shed roofs and fascia.
- Remove all gravel on flat roof to include any other material used to fix past leaks.
- Demo covered breezeway on South side of building.
- Install 26ga High Rib painted metal to gable roof with new size appropriate roof boots for all vertical roof penetrations.
- Install appropriate sized Ridge Cap and sidewall flashings.
- Install 6” gutter on North and South sides of gable roof with appropriate amount of downspouts to remove water off of roof.
- As for the SHED ROOF, install new pressure treated ground contact wood truss cut on angle as it relates to the length of new metal roof.
- Install 2×4 pressure treated ground contact battens onto wood truss.
- Affix pressure treated lumber to substrate using high quality exterior fasteners.
- Install additional structural support under the outdoor air conditioning units one shed roofs.
- Install 26ga High Rib painted metal to shed roofing using approved fasteners.
- Install all new metal roofing trim to include butyl tape, inside/outside closure strips, rake, transition, sidewall, angle roof, vertical pipe flashings and any other trim required by manufacturer.
- Install new vinyl soffit under the eve using any vinyl trim required by the manufacturer.
- Install G2 PVC trim coil to fascia using same color stainless steel trim nails.
- Install 6” gutter above the front entrance way of the Recreation Department with down spot dispersing water away from sidewalk.
- Install new same size covered breezeway on South side of building using pressure treated ground contact lumber and 26ga High Rib painted metal roofing.
