MINUTES OF A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TALLASSEE, ALABAMA
April 7, 2026
The City Council of the City of Tallassee, Alabama convened in a special meeting on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the Tallassee Municipal Complex. The meeting was called to order and the following were recorded as present:
Mayor Joey Wiginton
Council Members Easterling Carpenter
Linda McNeal Mosher
Damian Carr
Bill Hall-absent
Terrel Brown
Sarah Jones
Fred Randall Hughey
John Smith was present as city attorney and Whitney Pitchford as secretary for the meeting.
A resolution concerning municipal cleanup was discussed. This would allow citizens to bring tires that are collected in the city limits to city hall for $1 per tire. Everyone participating must fill out a W9 and sign the waiver. Councilmember Hughey made a motion to approve the resolution, seconded by Councilmember Brown. Upon a vote, the motion passed unanimously.
On motion of Councilmember Brown and second of Councilmember Mosher, and a vote in favor by all other councilmembers, the meeting was adjourned at 6:09 p.m.
