MINUTES OF A WORK SESSION
OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TALLASSEE, ALABAMA
April 28, 2026
The City Council of the City of Tallassee, Alabama convened in a work session on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tallassee Municipal Complex. The meeting was called to order and the following were recorded as present:
Mayor Joey Wiginton
Council Members Easterling Carpenter
Linda McNeal Mosher
Damian Carr
Bill Hall
Terrel Brown
Sarah Jones
Fred Randall Hughey
John Smith was present as city attorney and Whitney Pitchford as secretary for the work session.
Wendy Clayton discussed issues and vandalism at the cemetery. The cemetery is looking for solutions, cameras are expensive for both of the locations, waiting on a quote for fences but that will most likely be very expensive. Please share any suggestions that you may have. Ray Lamberth suggested possibly reaching out to Alabama Power for lights. Ray also thanked Wendy, Jarrod, and Councilmember Brown for their help and attention to the cemetery. The agenda for the April 28, 2026 council meeting was reviewed.
On motion of Councilmember Hughey and second of Councilmember Brown, and a vote in favor by all other councilmembers, the meeting was adjourned at 5:48 p.m.
