MINUTES OF A WORK SESSION
OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TALLASSEE, ALABAMA
SEPTEMBER 12, 2023
The City Council of the City of Tallassee, Alabama convened in a work session on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tallassee Municipal Complex. The meeting was called to order and the following were recorded as present:

Council Members Jeremy Taunton
Linda McNeal Mosher
Damian Carr
Bill Hall
Terrel Brown
Bill Godwin
Fred Randall Hughey
Lane Knight was present as city attorney and Whitney Pitchford as secretary for the work session.
Mayor Hill moved Item 2 to Item 1.
Certain items on the agenda were discussed in detail.
Jim Marshall with Jackson Thornton Utilities gave a presentation on the rate study. Currently, we’re only recovering $0.70 for every $1.00 for sewer, $0.90 for every $1.00 for gas, and $0.89 for every $1.00 for water. Recommended that we focus on sewer right now.
On motion of Councilmember Godwin and second of Councilmember Taunton, and a vote in favor by all other councilmembers, the meeting was adjourned at 5:53 p.m.
