MINUTES OF A WORK SESSION
OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TALLASSEE, ALABAMA
JANUARY 12, 2021
The City Council of the City of Tallassee, Alabama convened in a work session on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at the Tallassee Municipal Complex. The meeting was called to order and the following were recorded as present:
Mayor John Hammock
Council Members Jeremy Taunton
Sarah Hill
Damian Carr
Bill Hall
Terrel Brown-absent
Bill Godwin
Fred Randall Hughey
John Smith was present as city attorney and secretary for the work session.
Elliot Cook and Jennifer Gregory of Downtown Strategies made a lengthy presentation concerning business recruitment and revitalization of downtown Tallassee. They proposed a partnership between the City and Downtown Strategies and agreed to provide additional information to the council. Members of the council and public asked questions.
Upon motion of Councilmember Hill and second by Councilmember Taunton, the work session was adjourned at 5:45 pm with no further business considered.
